I’ve been wanting to touch on the topic of how I got started in the homemade wine hobby. I know that a lot of wine lovers out there are interested in doing this and while it may seem like an easy task at first, I think it’s important that you make sure you know exactly what you’re doing.
I want to tell you that it didn’t come easy and I didn’t just jump into it. I spent a lot of time talking to winery owners and other individuals that have made wine in their home. I read a lot of information and paid for a lot of books, but as you may know, reading won’t get you anywhere unless you take some action.
There is a lot of information on the internet about how to make wine. I spent a lot of time browsing forum groups and communities, reading a lot of blogs, and reading as many articles as I could find on the subject.
During my search, I happened to come across a website that wasn’t the prettiest one I’ve seen. Nonetheless, it ended up having a lot of good information that taught me a lot about wine and the process of making it at home. I also learned a lot of pretty cool recipes that I still use to this day.

I spent a lot of time reading through the site and the guide that the guy has. It is only now that I am beginning to become very interested in growing my own grapes and possibly starting my own wine making business. But that is probably at least a few years out.
The only problem with that idea is that I don’t have a much property other than my backyard and property isn’t really easy to come by. But it is still a pretty cool dream that I have and would love to see it happen one day.
So if you’re looking for some information on making wine at home and possibly growing grapes, then I recommend that you check out the Ultimate Winemaker’s Guide. It worked wonders for me.
